Our misson

We Are PostPravda.Info

We are a team of specialists and experts who have spent years studying propaganda and Russia. We operate as a non-profit organization. Most of our contributors are professional journalists affiliated with various media outlets, as well as academics and university researchers.

Our Mission

At PostPravda, our mission is to:

  • Track propaganda narratives,
  • Expose their creators and agents,
  • Document the harm they inflict.

We collect half-truths and fake news. We investigate and expose trolls. We identify manipulations. We uncover and ridicule propaganda, reading between the lines to reveal its true meaning. We embark on a difficult and often dangerous journey into the worlds created by propaganda leaders—far beyond the modern-day iron curtain.

We aim to bring victims of this war into the light, tell the stories of the perpetrators, and expose institutions and individuals who conceal their complicity—not just in harming individuals, but in undermining entire societies.

We refuse to let those who legitimize authoritarianism and totalitarianism go unnoticed. We speak out against those who spread disinformation, persecute journalists, and suppress cultural voices. We shine a light on those who pay the ultimate price for their independence—or simply for their basic human decency.

Right now, our focus is on the post-Soviet regions. But we know our work will extend further. Our team comes from different countries, bringing together experts in propaganda, analysts, scientists, artists, and documentary performers. Above all, we are journalists—covering war, investigations, and in-depth reporting.

We believe in democracy, pluralism, and independent media. And we are convinced that these are not just lofty ideals. We are not here to create new values or impose a particular worldview. The fight against disinformation requires a collective effort. Achieving this mission will not be easy.

Welcome to PostPravda.

PostPravda – Manifesto

We live in a world reshaped by information warfare. It is increasingly difficult to navigate the half-truths that surround us. But we can still ask questions. By doing so, we challenge established narratives and remind the world of fundamental values—values shared by all civilizations but equally vulnerable to manipulation, disinformation, and deceitful narratives.

If we fail to resist, we risk suffocating freedom of thought, speech, and expression, along with the independence of journalism. We refuse to wake up in a world where “the individual is nothing, and the individual is meaningless.”

We have no doubt that Putin’s Russia is the aggressor in this war of disinformation. That is why we focus not only on military actions but also on the battle of narratives—the so-called soft power conflict. We recognize that the outcome of this struggle will shape the future of generations to come, the freedom of beliefs, and the world we strive to uphold.

We do not claim to possess the absolute truth. We fully understand that making sense of the world and reporting on it requires constant effort—not just from those who create content, but also from those who consume it.

Our knowledge of the world around us is limited. Many of us live inside digital filter bubbles or social circles that we rarely step out of—sometimes out of sheer convenience. Meanwhile, entire systems of power, from authoritarian regimes to full-fledged totalitarian states, deliberately trap their citizens in thought prisons, where escaping these controlled environments is nearly impossible.

That is why we seek to illuminate the exits and provide escape routes. We understand the mechanisms of propaganda and know how to decode them. But ultimately, each person must take that step for themselves. We are here to accompany you on that journey.
