Kursk region now. Putin Arrived on the Scene After Ukrainians Left the Area [PHOTO]

What is the situation in Russia’s Kursk region? Not as bad as it’s being portrayed. Here are the latest findings from the PostPravda.Info think tank. The Russians continue their counteroffensive in the Kursk region, from which they have driven out a significant portion of Ukrainian forces in recent days. These forces had been holding Kremlin-controlled territory since August 2024. Vladimir Putin himself has arrived on the scene. What is the current situation for the Ukrainian troops?

Situation in the Kursk region not as dire as propaganda suggests

Contrary to Russian propaganda claims, most Ukrainian units, such as special operations forces and other assault troops stationed along roads and railways deep within the Kursk region, had already withdrawn from Russian territory nearly two weeks ago, as planned.

Defensive units remained on-site to secure the retreat of equipment and the remaining troops from Russia. I spoke with Ukrainian soldiers who are securing the withdrawal, and they claim that for now, the situation is under control, with most units managing to withdraw systematically.

In the Kursk Region Russians found empty villages

As the Russians entered areas previously occupied by Ukrainians, they found empty villages. Putin’s troops are attempting to breach some sections of the border with Ukraine, but in recent months, strong defensive positions and concrete trenches designed for such attacks have been established. As a result, most of the attacks are being repelled, although some border areas have become zones of intense fighting. The situation is still developing.

The Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, assured the media that Ukraine will maintain its defense in the Sudzha area in Russia for as long as necessary.
